Dr. Kabini Sanga

Professor Sanga was born on Malaita Island, in the Solomon Islands. Kabini Sanga has taught at the University of Regina (Canada), the University of the South Pacific (Fiji) and at the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education (Solomon Islands). He has spent much of his career outside of Victoria at the University of the South Pacific, the Solomon Islands College of Higher Education and the Solomon Islands Ministry of Education.

Kabini Sanga has a number of research interests including leadership, public ethics, mentorship, international development and research in indigenous Pacific contexts. Professor Sanga is Senior Fellow, with Leadership Pacific.

Keith and Kabini have enjoyed working together for about 20 years: travelling in the South Pacific Region for consultations, workshops, keynotes, and leaderful conversations on topics such as ethics, leadership and mentorship. Together they continue to produce field-friendly books and articles for the Region.

Bob Bayles - MBA, CHRP

Bob is a change agent who assists organizations and individuals to embrace the future while honouring the past ensuring system wide change. Complimenting his ability of allowing people to feel heard is his strategic focus as a trusted advisor. He is a Turning Point Associate.

As a Senior Consultant with one of the largest consulting firms out of Chicago, Bob has provided general business advice as well as specialized HR programs and interventions. Bob was most recently a Director with Human Resources at the University of Saskatchewan where he had the privilege to work with a team of professionals including Occupational Health Nurses, EAP counselors and HR consultants. During this time he was appointed by the Provost to champion one of the key initiatives coming out of their 5 year planning cycle, Leadership and Career Development, across the 30,000 faculty, staff and students. Currently Bob is the Superintendent of Human Resources at Prairie Spirit School Division in Saskatchewan.

Bob’s experiences include being a graduate professor in two classes at the University of Saskatchewan, focusing on Human Resource and Leadership practical application. In adult education/development, creating a variety of learning opportunities including; Adaptive Mentorship, Integrating Employee Health and Wellness, Action plans to Engage and Retain, with very positive feedback. Undergraduate instructing at the University of Alberta included Organizational Behaviour and Human Resource Management. Bob’s more than 15 years of senior Business and HR leadership experiences have included a wide array of workplaces ranging from highly complex, multiple unionized to non-unionized organizations, startups to well established, multinational to local, organizations. With work and consulting experiences in many sectors and a recent focus on K-12 Education, Post-Secondary Education and Affiliates and with Social Sector organizations and communities – working with boards and business units specialization in leadership, organizational behavior, change management, engagement, wellness, motivation, enterprise risk and the art of getting things done.

Some of Bob’s other educational highlights are: Queen’s University Industrial Relations Centre Certificate in Labour Relations, the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management; Advanced Program in Human Resource Management, Tulane University, New Orleans, and extensive Organizational Development training from Community at Work located in San Francisco. Bob obtained his Certified HR Professional (CHRP) in 2004 and was awarded the Ontario Most Outstanding CHRP award the year after. He is Past President to the Saskatchewan Association of HR Professionals (SAHRP) and was a national board member on the Canadian Council of Human Resource Associations (CCHRA), representing Saskatchewan. Internationally Bob is certified with the U.S. SHRM-CP, (Society of HR management)


Collaboration

Bob has collaborated with Keith Walker over the last decade. They first met in 2008 when paired up to champion one of the key strategic initiatives, leadership and career development, across the University of Saskatchewan 7,500 faculty, staff and 25,000 students and beyond into the larger Saskatchewan community. They continued to work together in developing a new graduate course out of the College of Graduate Studies and Research: Human Resource Leadership. They have joined forces on many initiatives to enhance human resource leadership capacities across a number of sectors including K-12 Education, Post-Secondary Education and with Social Sector organizations and the community. Most recently, in 2016, they teamed up to provide assistance to about 40 Learning Facilitators in the Prairie Spirit School Division, culminating in a co-edited book with the contributions of over 60 educators. Bob is a passionate, approachable leader, consultant, professor, author and speaker.

Cody Tillman - B.Comm

Cody is a skilled researcher and business analyst who has a variety of expertise ranging from software application proficiency and marketing expertise to strategy development. Cody is married to Gillian and is an associate of Keith’s.

As a Marketing Specialist and now Manager of Market Research & Analytics at Morris Industries Ltd., Cody provides knowledge in research tools and methods as well as program implementation, performance measuring for marketing campaigns and business performance analytics. Cody has collaborated on various product and marketing campaigns through digital and other mediums as well as developing tailored advertising content.

Cody has a breadth of experience with many software and web applications related to site development, business performance analytics, market research, marketing campaigns, advertising illustration, branding, training and ERP analysis.

Cody provides research and other project work for Keith’s research. Cody also has developed and maintains Keith’s current website.
